One Year Later

I can’t believe that an entire year has passed since I wrapped up my last career of this project. I thought that I would get to the end and have some transformative epiphany and jump right into a new career. Well, that just didn’t happen, at least not in the first several months while I recovered from the exhaustion of doing it all. What really occurred is that I have a lot more clarity of what I want to do in the future and have taken real steps to do those things. When it comes to choosing a new career from my list, I’ve actually decided to do several of them!

BestConferenceI’m really excited to share that I have turned the principals of the project into a presentation that I will be giving at the ReaLiving
Be Your Best conference  in
Eau Claire, WI on May 9th, 2017. The presentation focuses on doing something differently along with the lessons I learned from this project. It’s a full day event with several engaging speakers, and I’m really excited to be one of them! If you are interested in attending the conference, you can get more information or register at: realiving.com

I’ve also been writing a book about my experience of doing 23 careers in one year. While writing a book has been much more daunting than I thought it would be and has taken longer than planned, it will be ready for my editor’s eyes later this summer. I’m putting all of my hard-learned lessons into a format that will apply to the reader’s own career or life situation without having to do all of that work!

I continue to work as a marketing director for a national restaurant brand with over 100 locations. This has been a great expansion of my former graphic design and creative branding experience.

Everything in the past year has been a roller coaster of experiences as a result of this project and I’m thankful for all of it. It’s changed me in so many ways and I feel like the seeds that were planted during this project are just taking root now, a full year later. I’m so grateful to everyone that shared their lives and careers with me to make it happen. I really can’t thank them enough.Juli Rose

This will be my last official blog entry of this project, but before I transition to the next phase, I would like to reintroduce myself; Hi. My name is Juli Rose, and after completing 23 careers in one year, I am now a speaker, writer, blogger, marketing director, creative consultant, career coach, and even sometimes, a graphic designer.

  1. Hi Julie:

I’d love to hear your presentation but can’t make the conference.

Will you be speaking anywhere else or will it be recorded?

  2. Hi Ruth. I’m not sure if the presentation will be recorded, but if it is I will let you know! I don’t have any other conferences on the calendar yet, but I will share them as well. Thanks for asking!
